RACE TIME: August 4, 2012 - 9:00am
Race description has yet to be finalized, the following the current plan for the race (we reserve the right to make cahanges as required by facilities, regulations, etc.) Maps to be posted as available.
The race is entirely on a paved surface. The starting line will be about the 10,000 foot elevation, at a point just east of the Highway 31 summit. It will then continue on a
downhill grade for the next 13.1 miles to conclude at the finish. There will be at least two aid stations,
located along the
race, with water for the racers. There will also be a racers table
of fruit and drinks at the finish. Parking is available at the starting line and
transportation will be provided back to the starting line parking lot at the
conclusion of the race.
Race age categories will be as follows:
Male: Under 16, 16-25, 26-39, 40-59, 60 and over
Female: Under 16, 16-25, 26-39, 40-59, 60 and over
The 2012 race will be the Nineth Annual SKYLINE at 10K race sponsored by
the Sanpete Valley Health Care Foundation. The benefits of this race are several
fold. Proceeds from this race go towards the purchase of needed
health care equipment for the local IHC hospital, located in Mt. Pleasant.
Other benefits for the racers and families include the opportunity to come and see the beauty of the
Skyline Drive above the Sanpete Valley. Hopefully, while here you will
enjoy the beautiful drive South on the Skyline Drive and then descend off the mountain
to one of the cities in Sanpete County.
Come enjoy a GREAT day on the mountain with us and witness one
of the country's most scenic roadways.
